Here at Oak Meadow Primary School, we are passionate and committed to providing the children in our care with outstanding learning opportunities.

Our aim is to enrich every child’s school experience and create an environment where they are encouraged to succeed and be the best they can be.

Cultural capital is about preparing children with the knowledge and skills for what comes next.  We realise the exploration of new skills and experiences helps to nurture resilience, curiosity and creativity.  Ultimately, this leads to the growth of new forms of cultural capital that makes a difference in individual mindsets and shapes the future.

The intent of our IMPACT enrichment weeks and additional curriculum initiatives is to help our children experience the awe and wonder of the world in which they live. This is so important here at Oak Meadow because what children learn in their formative years with us will stay with them forever.

Below are the results of our Cultural Capital survey for the last academic year.  These results recognise the impact of all of the events we have implemented this year and have supported us in the formulation of clear goals and intentions for new and exciting opportunities for the next academic year.

To accompany the results, and as part of our forward thinking and intentions, each year group has also implemented a ‘Cultural Capital Journey’ for the children to follow and complete over the year that are published below. Each activity relates to the five core values that we embrace as a school and represents a bespoke journey for the children in each year to follow with us.

We look forward to the children sharing their special journey with us over the next twelve months!
