Black History Month in Y3

Updated: Nov 21, 2023

Honouring the incredible achievements and contributions of Black inspirational figures, Year 3 engaged in activities that fostered deeper appreciation for Black history and culture by delving deep into the remarkable life of various innovators and change-makers -particularly that of Ade Adepitan. Through various research sessions, the children captured this remarkable individual’s legacy by writing his biography. The children developed language skills and creativity when crafting compelling accounts of Adepitan’s achievements and pure resilience. The children have learned to value how people, such as Ade, have paved the way for progress, equality and cultural richness that have and will leave indelible marks on the world, therefore inspiring generations to come.
