Reading in Year 3

‘Twinkle, Twinkle, little Blu. How I wondered where are you. Up above the world so high. Are you ready… to try?’

We would like to thank all of the parents and carers who took part in our reading workshop on Tuesday 3rd October. Your presence and active involvement made the event a great success! We had great fun sharing our text, Rio 2, which links to our current topic ‘Arriba! Arriba!’. During the workshop, it was wonderful to see adults working alongside the children developing their VIPERS skills and reading strategies. A moment that stood out was when the main character stirred in his sleep and said, ‘Ugh, you need a Tic Tac,’ which made many of us chuckle.

We value your support in listening to your child read at home and promoting the love of reading. So far, we have had over twenty children who have had a hot chocolate with added marshmallow treat!

We hope you found the session valuable, and we look forward to more collaborative efforts to ensure the children continue to excel in their reading and learning adventures.
